Dignify Foundation is a peer-support and connection-based service. Dignify Foundation does not provide legal advice, therapy, emergency crisis response, medical advice, or housing placement.

If a participant appears to be in immediate danger or requires emergency help, Dignify Foundation may encourage that person to contact emergency services, a crisis line, shelter, healthcare provider, or other appropriate professional service.

Participant information

Participant information may be shared internally with authorized Dignify Foundation coordinators involved in intake, matching, and safety review. A participant's information may be shared with a selected supporter only to the extent reasonably necessary to make and maintain the support connection.

Supporter information

Supporter information may be shared internally with Dignify Foundation coordinators involved in volunteer screening, onboarding, matching, and oversight. Participants may be shown limited supporter profile information, such as:

  • First name
  • Brief bio
  • Language(s)
  • General support areas
  • General region
  • Life-stage information voluntarily included for matching

9. When We May Disclose Information Without Consent

Dignify Foundation will make reasonable efforts to respect confidentiality. However, there may be limited situations where information may need to be disclosed without consent, including where:

  • There is an immediate concern about someone's safety
  • Disclosure is required by law
  • Disclosure is necessary to respond to a court order, subpoena, or other lawful requirement
  • Disclosure is needed to investigate serious misuse of the service, threats, harassment, or fraud
