2. Purpose of Dignify Foundation
Dignify Foundation is a peer-support and resource-connection initiative. Dignify Foundation exists to:
- Listen with compassion
- Provide peer-based emotional support
- Help users identify appropriate community resources
Dignify Foundation does not provide:
- Legal advice
- Psychotherapy or counselling
- Medical advice
- Crisis intervention
- Emergency services
- Shelter or housing placement
- Professional case management
- Financial advice
3. No Professional Advice
The content on this website and any communication from Dignify Foundation is for general informational and peer-support purposes only.
Nothing on this website, in an intake form, in a supporter interaction, or in any Dignify Foundation communication should be relied on as legal, medical, mental health, financial, or other professional advice.
Users should seek qualified professional guidance where needed.
4. No Emergency or Crisis Service
Dignify Foundation is not an emergency service.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or contact an appropriate crisis line, shelter, healthcare provider, or emergency support service if it is safe to do so.
Dignify Foundation does not guarantee immediate response times.
5. Eligibility
Dignify Foundation is intended for adult women seeking support in relation to domestic abuse, coercive control, separation, or divorce, and for approved supporters participating in the initiative.
Dignify Foundation reserves the right to determine whether a request or application is appropriate for the service.
6. Supporter Role and Limits
Supporters are volunteers or peer supporters, not professional advisors unless expressly identified otherwise.
Supporters are expected to:
- Listen respectfully
- Communicate with empathy
- Maintain appropriate boundaries
- Share resource information where appropriate
- Act within Dignify Foundation's guidelines
Supporters must not:
- Provide legal advice
- Act as therapists
- Offer emergency intervention
- Promise confidentiality beyond Dignify Foundation's stated limits
- Pressure participants to take any specific legal, family, or personal action
7. Matching and Introductions
Dignify Foundation may review participant and supporter information to facilitate appropriate support matches.
Dignify Foundation may provide participants with a shortlist of supporters to choose from. Dignify Foundation does not guarantee compatibility, continuity, or outcomes from any particular match.
Dignify Foundation may pause, decline, end, or reassign a match at its discretion where necessary for safety, fit, boundaries, or service integrity.
8. User Responsibilities
By using Dignify Foundation, you agree to:
- Provide information that is reasonably accurate
- Respect the boundaries of the service
- Communicate respectfully
- Avoid harassment, abuse, threats, or misuse of the service
- Use the service only for lawful purposes
You agree not to:
- Impersonate another person
- Misuse the website or forms
